What I’m Loving This Week: The SOLUTION Is Not Far!

I will illustrate my message by sharing a story.DSCF1939

The story is about three negative women who lived in the bayou (a bayou is an inlet or outlet of a lake or river ) . Every day they complained, “We’ve got it bad living in this bayou.  No opportunity here.  Others are living in the city where they have unlimited opportunities.  Us, we got nothing.”  This is the complaint they lived their lives by, until one day a positive-thinking woman came along.  After listening to the complaints, she said, “Nonsense! Opportunity?  You want opportunity?  You got opportunity.  You live on the bayou.  The bayou leads to the river. The river leads to the gulf.  The gulf leads to the ocean.  You can go anywhere from where you are?”

Moral of the story:  Most people go through life complaining about how bad the economy is, how unhelpful the government is and how everything and everyone is against them.  The blame game goes on and on but has never made anybody’s situation  change for the better.  It’s easy to  hold someone responsible for your dilemma. But I suggest to you…look around you,the solution is not far.

What ever crisis you might be in right now, just remember that there is always a better way.  Dare to try something different.

This is my story and I am sticking to it!

About Howard Mahere

I'm an entrepreneur ; motivator; author of "AN IMMIGRANT WITH A PLAN" and a John C Maxwell certified speaker . Happily married to Emely and a father to one son and two daughters. My greatest joy comes from inspiring others to maximize their potential. I feel fulfilled when I bring hope to the hopeless and encouragement to the discouraged. The truth is, we each have a past, and it's either our prison, our excuse OR our springboard to a brighter future. The choice is yours but as for me, I made up my mind a long time ago to use my dysfunctional tough childhood as a stepping stone . The late Zig Ziglar used to say "It's not what happens to you that determines how far you will go in life, it is how you handle what happens to you." This is my story and I am sticking to it!
